Balaram Panda Trust has giving emphasis to establish Field Training Centre on coir making with
an objective to provide practical, skill-based training facility where individuals are taught how to
process coir fiber from coconut husk and make coir-based products like mats, ropes, brushes,
handicrafts, geotextiles, etc.
The Objectives of establishing Coir Field Training Centres to generate self-employment
opportunities, utilize local raw materials, impart technical skills and promote eco-friendly
entrepreneurship.
The training modules are Coir Fiber Extraction, Spinning and Roping, Product Manufacturing,
Dyeing and Finishing, Business Basics and Awareness on Schemes.
In fact, a Field Training Centre on Coir Making offers valuable livelihood training that’s practical,
sustainable, and highly relevant to coconut-growing regions. It’s a strong step toward rural
entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and eco-conscious living.
