In the pursuit of its commitment to Social responsibility, the CSR wing of the Trust has tied up with the ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society), Odisha for implementation of the Skill development project of MORD Government of India under DDU- GKY scheme. The Skill Development Training Centre is located at Plot No. 150, HIG (K6), Kalinga Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, 751019.
So far BPT has completed successfully 5 projects under DDU-GKY, trained 5251 candidates and placed 3486 candidates in various Job Roles. Currently, an Additional Project under DDU-GKY scheme in operation with a target to train 636 candidates and place minimum 445 candidates successfully in relevant sectors.
In addition, we have completed training on Rural Mason where 3004 candidates were trained. We also conducted skilling of rural youth in Plumbing under VASUDHA (Buxi Jagabandhu Assured Water Supply to Habitations) initiative where 510 candidates received training.
At present,two more Projects on Placement Linked Skill Development Training Program are ongoing – one under the OMC (Odisa Mining Corporation)with a target of 500 candidates (48 have already placed)and another under the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA)with a target of 100 candidates.
Due to exceptionally good quality of infrastructure, teaching, training and placement, we have been rated as Grade “A” Project implementation unit.
